The use of timber shutters over small windows creates a point of interest and with a quick flick of the wand you have privacy.
Curtains for different sized windows in same room.
Even a very small decorative touch can tie together two very disparate window treatments in the same room a pom pom trim a coloured edging or applied braid.
The picture shows a mix of roman blind and pinch pleat curtains in the same room both made using the same fabric.
For a window that s a bit narrower than the rest use curtain panels that match the width of the other windows to make it look like they re all the same size.
Because the windows are so close together if i were to use 4 different rods it would have looked choppy.
I used a custom corner rod that extends on both walls.
Have all curtains end at the same length.
As a guide for the rod width hang the panels just to the outside edges of the windows so that you can benefit from all the natural light flooding through the windows.
You could mount sheers under the curtains drapes for the entire area of the windows so that it is less obvious.
For small size windows this is a very interesting combination.
If you have a mix of small and larger windows treat the largest panes to some beautiful sheer linen in a colour palette that complements your bedroom decor.
On the other hand if you have both big and small windows in the room mount the draperies on the larger windows and allow them to free flow onto the floor.
Combine shutters and sheers.
Wood shutters can add a bit of vogue to your room and curtains can balance your privacy during the day.
Now i think i have decided to put the bed someplace else and now there is nothing blocking those windows so i can make drapes for all windows the same.
By using the same width shade on each window it is wide enough to cover the two wider windows but it makes the the narrow windows look as if they are wider than they are.
I just didnt want it to look too awful to have different length drapes even though it would be a room few people would ever see since it is upstairs.
If you find a colour that blends into the wall colour you want as opposed to contrasting that will help.
